The best iPhone camera app

There are lots of camera appa available for the iPhone. Which one to choose for day-to-day use? I’ve been trying many of them, but I always come back to the built-in camera app. It has limited features, but the (unfair) advantage of being accessible directly through the lock screen. It is fast and it supports video. And it stores photos to the camera roll where they belong, instead of introducing an second layer of photo management.
The post processing features are limited, but for that there are plenty of other apps. And for sharing I use Instagram anyway.

Montauk Staple

This place was closed every tome we passed by. Now it’s shut down was well. I’m curious what will be in there next.

The Ocean Beach Resort in Montauk is a beautiful place. While the facilities are moderate, its location is spectacular: directly on the beach, with many rooms having straight view to the ocean. There is a large deck with chairs, where you can spend the day, relax, read or just watch the ocean.
This photo was made in June 2005 on our first visit there. Since then, we’ve been there almost every years, at least for a long weekend.

In the nineties the Greek islands were our vacation destination of choice, because they were beautiful and cheap. On Elke’s and my very first vacation together, coincidence brought us to the island of Paros. That is a touristy place for sure, but slightly off the beaten path and not as well know as, for example Mykonos or Santorini.
And we loved it there. We rented a room in a small pension with view to the Aegean Sea and a almost ten-year-long love affair with Greece began.
